My story
Bald Bakes began in a small flat on Old Street, London — with nothing more than a whisk, a big smile, and a love for cookies that couldn’t be contained.
Salim Brouch, the bald baker behind the name, started baking as a way to unwind after long days at work. What began as a hobby soon turned into something bigger. Friends couldn’t get enough of his cookies, word spread fast, and before long, Salim was setting up shop at local markets across London — including the famous Brick Lane Market, where his cookies now regularly sell out.
Behind the stall, you’ll find Salim doing what he loves most: chatting with customers, sharing stories, and handing out gooey, chocolate-loaded cookies with a grin.
When he’s not baking (or lifting weights at the gym), Salim’s at home with his wife, Suraya, and their daughter, Lina — his biggest fans and toughest taste-testers.
Bald Bakes isn’t just about cookies. It’s about community, joy, and the simple pleasure of creating something that makes people smile — one cookie at a time.
